ok, so here it is. I know what you're wondering. you're wondering what the purpose of this web page is. well, it's simple. well... for the most part. actually, it's a little difficult for me, but you know what? I'm just going to come out and say it. The gist of it is... is "gist" a word? wait... that's not the gist. this is the gist. the thing is, I know I haven't been updating lately and I know how that makes everyone feel. but that's not it - there's more. by failing to update my site, I have failed to keep my audience entertained. the weels of promotion are no longer in motion. the sands of time are... I don't know. but anyway, I know... I know that this website is what keeps this country rolling. without Ben's Most Awesome Website, this country would be nothing. but furthermore, it is an inspiration to all who think their lives are pointless, (if you get what I'm saying). so... I have decided to create this page as a dedication to a monument donated as a gift to all of my viewers, all over the world... or something like that. so enjoy...

anyway, I'm sure you would also like to know what I've been up to that is so much more important than updating the greatest website in the world. well, it's simple. I have been raising money to put food on my plate and wood in my fire. that's right. now I'm sure you're thinking, "now how could one job take up sooo much time?" well, it's simple. I have several of them. first of all, so far I have played for two dances at the monday club with stringdancer. also, the BeatPickers played for a dance at the trout lodge, and a dance at principia for the summer session. in addition to these gigs, I will also be playing with nancy on several different occasions throughout august. now, moving on to non-music jobs. I take care of three lawns in elsah, (which do not include my own). I take care of the mowing and trimming every two weeks. also, I have a job at the restaurant in elsah. I work down in the kitchen, but I get free meals, and long breaks. I work mondays through wednesdays. now, I also have a few computer-related jobs. first of all, my neighbors hired me to fix their computer and set up some new hardware. then, the mayor of elsah hired me to fix some problems and create a back-up disk on the computer in the village hall. also, as of last week, I was officially hired by the treehouse wildlife center to build and manage their website, which can be viewed here. well, I think that concludes Ben's "Get A Leg Up On The Pile" page.
